Anyway another great news everyone, we have already had a massive "ECHO for PRESIDENT!" line up until the end of September. What's more three times a week with quite large names, soon we will post the full booking list on The ECHO Show.

1) Hello Vecho, would you mind introducing yourselves?
We have made music since we were livin in space
Before the rat race, before monkeys had human traits.:)
Vecho is the story of two young Belgian dudes from Stekene, East-Flanders, called Jarno Van der Veken as the producer and Frederik Merckx as the dj./ Co-producer..
2) When did you start making music together?
Jarno starts making music when he was young and he grows skills over the years. It's started all with some heavy tek beats but it changed completly when I send him 'Les Petits Pilous - Wake Up'.
He started to make electro and created funky sounds to produce some nice beats true those years. The collection is enormous..
After we made the new logo for Vecho together Jarno decided that I should join Vecho. And so I, Frederik Merckx came in to the story.
3) You have produced some ridiculously huge tracks and remixes like "Ripper" and "Fired Up", what is your first step when you decide to produce something new?
Just experimenting with some new basslines, looking for vocals and sounds that could lead to ideas.
4) Do you prefer writing original tracks or remixing?
We prefer making remixes because we like to have a basic idea and change it into something completly different. Orginal tracks are more rare because we put a lot of time in them. "Ripper" has been edited for 300 times.
5) What kind of equipments/softwares do you use for making mixtapes and compose tracks?
Just for the producing, we use Fruity Loops 9. But we plan to use a Chaospad Kp3 touchpad and make some really dirty wobbles with it, hopefully we can use it very soon :)
6) So, are you working on something now?
We are working on a new track called "Fucked Up", it has some Notorious BIG vocals in it. You all know that Biggie Smalls is the illest :D The electro has some influence from SebastiAn old track 'Walkman re-edit'. But you will hear that soon on our soundcloud.
7) I've always interested in the artists' opinion about their stuff and career, what would you say is your biggest music achievement and which is your favourite own track/remix so far?
Just the fact that people can buy our tracks on iTunes store gives us the pleasure for doing our thing. :) Also the releases with Basserk Records, Shax Trax Records and Woo Crew Records made us proud. All of the artists on that labels are talented. Some Italian contact are always nice if they wanna organize a party. La bella Italia :)
8) You usually product heavy trash and electronic tracks but I've already listened dubstep one as well, so which are your favorite styles?
We adore electro but we also love dubstep. We like to see the touch between those styles, kinda Fidget Trash Electro style. Comming to the point, yeah we love to make Dubstep as well but we prefer to make smashing electro :)
9) Who's your favorite new artist? What are you listening to lately?
We have been listening to Bullwack a lot lately. His "The Great Batsy" and his remix on "Rolling In The Deep" from Adele are nice tracks. Let it have been told: The mixtape speak for himself!
10) Please say some words about your plans for the future.
We got some plans for making a collab with The Girls Can Hear Us. We will have an electro orginal mix and a Hip Hop vip. There are also some new original tracks and some remixes for Shax Trax Records on the way. Also looking to hear something from Woo Crew. Also the new Andy's Ill - Lifetime (Vecho remix) will be out for free download after Andy's Ill releases that track on a very special label, Dim Mak records. Congrats with that Andy!
11) If you do not work on music, what do you do?
Chilling and enjoying the summer. Swimming in the pool with the friends.. Having a lot of fun. Maybe some studying if there is time left :)
12) Please introduce your mixtape, what we are going to listen?
It's an electro mixtape this time. I first wanted to mix dubstep, but I though that would have ruined it. We save those tracks for later on the dubstep only mix called "Filthy Volume 5 in the name of Vecho". That's still working in progress.
13) What do you think about the "ECHO For PRESiDENT" project, and the ECHO blog?
I saw some talented DJ mixing the "ECHO For PRESIDENT mixtapes" like The Coussins (who are also from Stekene), SlaminA, BoЯRoBeats and many more. That's why we thought it would be nice to make one of our own. The blog looks nice but we don't understand a lot from what you are saying in your language :)
